Salven al Tigre is a band from Mexicali formed by Fernando, José, Oscar Sandoval, and Brandon Villado. It was born in August 2024, when Fernando's solo project became a group and adopted a new name, and with Brandon joining as lead guitarist, they found their sound: rock amistad (friendship rock).
After "La última vez" and "Gracias por ser tú" (2025) they signed with Worldwide Records. The series opens with "Hoy que desperté", which takes them from fewer than a thousand monthly listeners to over six thousand, to 11 thousand followers on Instagram, and a 60% increase in presence on Spotify's algorithmic playlists. Following are "Ver el sol", "Olimpiadas del 68", "Día favorito" and the cover of 107 Faunos "El tigre de las facultades", all heading towards their debut album "Dinastía Tigre" , which brings together the singles from the cycle plus five unreleased songs, which will be released in the fall of this year. Each release came with pickup editorial from Spotify (including Novedades Rock) and Apple Music (such as Indie: lo último, Lo nuevo: alternativa and Lo nuevo: rock), accumulating streams since the first week with a high percentage coming from personalized playlists. Meanwhile, the content together with his manager Israel Torres amplified its reach: one surpassed 981 thousand likes and became the creator's most viral piece. Today they have 24 thousand monthly listeners, 55 thousand streams per month and 31 thousand followers on Instagram, with an active fandom across broadcast groups, WhatsApp, and a Discord server where constant waves of fanart arrive.
Live is where rock amistad explains itself. They have shared the stage with La Texana, Niño Viejo, Juan Cirerol, Mint field and Caro Valenzuela, and between April and July 2026 they toured Baja California and Mexico City opening for Los Espíritus, with dates at FIL UABC, La Bohemia, Foro Dragón, and the Mercadito de Bandas in Mexicali, Ensenada, and Tijuana; adding the recently announced opening show for Bestia Bebé. The highlight was on May 14 at Foro Chico in Mexico City: a free show and full, filled with mosh pits and crowdsurfing, whose film they plan to bring to Mexicali as a prelude to a national tour.
