MUSIC GENERATED BY A HUMAN

The album ZiP explores the contrast between humans and computers, particularly how differently they falter when they break down. It is a parallel observation between a mental breakdown and a computer malfunction. ZiP is also his reaction against music that is generated by artificial intelligence because ZiP has been generated by a human. Across eight tracks, Pierre Desmarais weaves synthesizers, atmospheric textures and electric guitars into a soundscape that is as visually evocative as it is emotionally resonant. The result is music that feels simultaneously strong, fragile, glitching, and alive. ZiP is Pierre Desmarais’s fifth instrumental album and is available now on Spotify, Apple Music, and all major streaming platforms.
