Kenny Iko makes R&B that feels intimate without being small, modern with classic R&B sensibility and polished without losing its raw emotion. Hailing from Washington, D.C., Kenny Iko’s connection to music started early, leading church choir with his family. By high school, Kenny began his musical career performing with a local go-go band in Washington D.C., becoming neighborhood famous. Kenny continued his pursuit, joining as the lead singer of an R&B group entitled 4EY. During his time with 4EY he refined the vocals, performance instincts, and stage presence that continue to shape his work today. Drawn to artists who could command a stage as much as they could carry a song, Kenny approaches R&B through voice, movement, and feeling. His sound is rooted in romance, vocal precision, and the kind of timeless R&B that still hits today. That same presence recently brought him to Season 28 of NBC’s The Voice, where his Blind Audition performance of Bruno Mars’ “Versace on the Floor” earned chair turns from Snoop Dogg and Niall Horan, ultimately landing him on Team Snoop. Post his appearance on the Voice, Kenny has focused on shaping his craft and evolving his persona to match the power of his vocals. With new music on the way, Kenny is entering his next chapter with a sound that feels both familiar and fresh.
