Roméo Testa
Singer • Songwriter • Producer
Roméo is an LA-based singer-songwriter and producer whose intimate acoustic work explores themes of vulnerability and heartbreak with unflinching honesty. Born in Costa Rica and raised in Echo Park and the Valley, Romeo found music at seven through the violin, picking up guitar and writing songs by eleven following the loss of his older brother. Deeply influenced by his father’s musical taste and his grandfather’s love of classic soul and oldies, Roméo fell in love with making music early — and has never stopped.
As half of the band Farr, Roméo has toured the world and released multiple projects as part of the duo, including a notable collaboration with rapper Erick the Architect on “Let It Go” featuring Loyle Carner, which has amassed over seventy million streams. His songwriting and production work spans an impressive range of contemporary artists, including Humble the Great, Rita Ora, James Blake, Kaskade, Joey Bada$$, Kojey Radical and Lil Yachty.
Most recently, Roméo is preparing to release a five-song EP produced by Matt Zara (Teddy Swims, Lola Young), born out of a particularly rocky period following a personal breakup. Recorded with immediacy — often capturing guitar and vocals in single takes — the project balances loneliness with hope, channeling the same intimate bedroom songwriting that first drew him to music as a child. For Roméo, making music that feels like talking to a friend — real, unguarded, and true — remains his North Star
