Bio

Kelsey Hickman learned early that a big voice could carry far beyond the cornfields of Sherman, Illinois. By sixteen, she was fronting a local country band and opening for Lady A, Montgomery Gentry, Chris Young, Alabama, and Tracy Lawrence. But it was her grandfather who first recognized what set her apart. He taught her that commanding a stage required more than a great voice, it required conviction, connection, and the courage to make people feel something.

Kelsey carried that belief into her first project, Gypsy, produced by Kent Wells and released in 2016. Then 2020 brought a reckoning. The polish came off. The volume went up. In 2022, she began working with producer Don Miggs, forging a heavier, more fearless sound that took shape on her Lights Out EP and broke wide open with the viral single “In My Place.”

By 2025, Kelsey had released her debut full-length album and taken her explosive live show across the country alongside Hinder and Saliva.

Now based in Nashville, she is recording her next album between tour dates. Fueled by country storytelling, punk-rock attitude, metal riffs, and a voice built to rattle walls, Kelsey makes music for the outsiders, the underestimated, and anyone who has been told to quiet down, fit in, or become easier to understand. Her songs do not ask for acceptance—they draw a line in the dirt.

Too loud for country, too raw for pop, and too much twang for rock.
