Martin Bandzoumouna (aka Martin Bandz) is a singer-songwriter and producer based in Chicago, IL. In a small suburb of Chicago he grew up playing in the Symphonic & Jazz Bands (Alto & Baritone Saxophone) while being influenced by his parents’ taste. Artists from the likes of Kool & The Gang, Lionel Richie, Michael Jackson and African artists Koffi Olomide and Youssou N'Dour got the ball rolling for him at a very early age. This eventually led to the discovery of modern R&B artists like Ne-Yo, T-Pain, and Miguel, along with pop acts like Justin Timberlake, Maroon 5 and more. Acts like Green Day, The Fray, The Strokes, and The Killers led the more alternative side of things and influenced his desire to grab a guitar.
In 2022 he released first single as part of a dance-pop duo by the name of “*67", which debuted at #2 on the Spotify Local Pulse Chicago chart the week following release. Since then he's released 25 songs including 2 EPs and 1 full-length album, amassing nearly 1.5 million streams. He's performed all around the city of Chicago at historic venues such as Schuba's Tavern (two sold out headline shows), Beat Kitchen, Aliveone, Bookclub (Formerly The Elbow Room), and more. In January of 2025 he performed his new single on ABC7's “Windy City Live” morning show which was played all througout the Chicagoland area, and taped in front of a live studio audience.
