Velvet Koffin is a darkwave duo born in the desert heat and raised on the cold pulse of the Midwest. Combining hypnotic synths, shadowy beats, and ethereal vocals, they craft music that feels like a fever dream — cinematic, sensual, and surreal.
The two artists behind Velvet Koffin found each other far from home, both drawn to Phoenix’s strange mix of isolation and rebirth. Their sound merges industrial grit with emotional depth, echoing through club smoke and desert air alike.
Influenced by acts like Boy Harsher and Nine Inch Nails, Velvet Koffin explores the tension between desire and decay, beauty and darkness. Their visuals reflect that same aesthetic — lo-fi, analog, and drenched in mystery — building a full sensory world around their music.
With their breakout single “Insomnia” spreading across continents and playlists, Velvet Koffin continues to grow an international cult following drawn to their raw emotion and nocturnal elegance.
