rén

Rén is an alternative indie/soul artist born in Brooklyn, NY, and raised in South Jersey. Her music reflects personal challenges and resilience, drawing from childhood karaoke sessions and her first solo performance at an elementary school talent show. Music became a refuge during her teenage years, helping her cope with mental health struggles. Self-taught on the guitar, piano, and ukulele basics, she transformed journal entries into songs, inspired by artists like Alicia Keys and Frank Ocean. In 2022, while working as a photographer at an artist showcase, Rén decided to pursue her own music. By 2024, she released her debut single, “Fine,” followed by “Before Your Eyes” in 2025. Her sound blends raw emotion with fluid melodies, creating a sense of connection with listeners through her voice and experiences. For Rén, music is not just a craft, but a tool for healing, survival, and building deeper connections with others.
