googly eyes

googly eyes is the bold project from Texas-bred singer, songwriter, and producer, marking the next thrilling chapter in her musical journey. Trained in opera and seasoned as a co-writer for stars like Sabrina Carpenter, she spent years releasing music under the moniker Deza before stepping fully into her vision with her upcoming EP. While her past work was entirely self-written, recorded, and produced, this new collection finds her collaborating for the first time with alt-pop icon, Tove Lo and Grammy-winning producer Flume. As the first outside artist signed to Tove Lo’s Pretty Swede Records (in conjunction with Neon Gold Records), she created the upcoming five-song project with the duo, blending hyperpop confessions, glitchy euphoria, and sweeping love songs powered by her emotive, stratospheric vocals. googly eyes sharpened her craft under mentors like Emily Warren before signing to Prescription Songs and moving to L.A., where she became a sought-after writer for Jason Derulo, Zara Larsson, and R3HAB. Now based between Scandinavia and Los Angeles, she embraces vulnerability and freedom in her artistry - channeling raw anger, tenderness, and nuanced social commentary. For googly eyes, launching this project meant discovering her truest voice, letting go of total control, and building a boundless new era with a team who sees her exactly as she sees herself.
