Employing a masterful fusion of rap and reggaeton, Yosdany Jacob Carmenates, better known as
Jacob Forever "El Inmortal," has showcased his extraordinary talent as both a singer and
songwriter. His artistic diversity spans across bachata, urban music, and reggaeton, making him
one of the most versatile figures in Latin music.
At the age of 20, he founded and directed the group Made in Cuba. In 2004, he joined the legendary
group Gente de Zona, where he spent a decade as a lead composer and vocalist. He was the voice
and pen behind chart-topping albums like “Lo Mejor Que Suena Ahora” Vol. 1 & 2, with hits such as
“Le Gusta Los Artistas” and “El Animal,” which dominated charts in Cuba, Miami, and Europe.
From 2013 to 2015, Jacob formed a successful duo with El Dany, highlighted by their productions
“Más Duro” and “Son Muchas Cosas,” touring extensively through the U.S., Canada, and Europe. In
2015, he made his global solo debut with the album “El Inmortal,” produced by DJ Roumy. His single
“Hasta Que Se Seque el Malecón” served as his international breakthrough, earning him worldwide
acclaim and his first Latin Grammy nomination.
Throughout his career, Jacob has collaborated with a prestigious roster of international stars,
including Pitbull, Farruko, Thalia, Enrique Iglesias, La India, De La Ghetto, Nacho, Victor Manuelle,
and Abraham Mateo, among others, cementing his place as a permanent fixture in the global Latin
urban scene.
