Hailing from the renowned musical city of Glasgow, Scotland, ANDREWBATES is a self-taught producer and songwriter who began crafting electronic music during his high school years. His deep-rooted passion for sound led to his debut release in 2019, originally created as part of a college project.

Working from his bedroom studio, Andrew creates a unique mix of dance music that’s caught the attention of key tastemakers like BBC Radio and Selected. His track “Something About Us” has racked up over 4 million streams, connecting with a wide range of listeners around the world.

Alongside his original releases, Andrew launched a vocoder-driven cover project that quickly gained viral traction on TikTok, reimagining iconic songs through his signature electronic lens. The project has proven hugely successful across streaming platforms, with his vocoder cover of Imogen Heap’s “Headlock” surpassing 1 million streams in its first month, and “Teenage Dirtbag” earning a co-sign from Wheatus themselves. The project has also received support from A-list artists including Lewis Capaldi, Troye Sivan, Madison Beer, and Dom Dolla, reflecting Andrew’s steady rise and growing audience.

At this time, Andrew is actively engaging in collaborations and has attended numerous writing camps, including dance specific ADE camps such as Master the Mix and BMG’s camp at Wisseloord Studios. In addition to his solo work, he is also writing and producing for other artists, further expanding his creative reach within the dance and pop music scene.
