DANI EXXTACY

THEY/SHE 💚💜🖤 I HAVE A BULLETPROOF SOUL.. DO YOU? 💚💜🖤 aka 808FANTASY

DANI EXXTACY (they/she) is a prolific experimental Hip-Hop artist and producer who isn’t afraid to take a stand for what’s right. Their unflinching progressive left-wing politics influence their work in every sense of the word. In each song they release, they always find a way to push the envelope and innovate classic Hip-Hop sounds and turn them on their head. This is the main aspect that has drawn people to DANI EXXTACY—their ability to create a perfect blend of unconventional and accessible sounds has created a successful balance between staying niche and having mass appeal. On their latest album, "BULLETPROOF SOUL !!", DANI EXXTACY fires on all cylinders: creating grimy, explosive anthems on various important topics, such as fighting regressive politics and satirizing the state of modern capitalism. However, instead of creating the typical, serious conscious Hip-Hop that has made political commentary in the genre famous—like Kendrick Lamar or Mos Def—to the surprise of many, these topics are cleanly packaged into fun, high-energy records first, with its poignant lyrics taking a backseat to reward any listener who is truly paying attention. In this way, DANI EXXTACY rewards audiences who like to take their time to dissect the music they listen to, without alienating those who simply want to have a good time.
