Bio

West is wherever you lose track of time, sing a little louder, and feel something real. It’s the sound that pulls you in and the energy that keeps you there. If you’ve felt the energy, you’ve found them.

Where’s West? began as a group of friends chasing a sound that felt honest, electric, and entirely their own. A shared desire to not just make songs but music that makes you want to get up and dance brought them from a small laundry room in the basement of their college to festival stages.

California four-set Where’s West? are kicking off their 2026 with a rush of lush sound and groove as they present “Light On.” Described by the band as “who we are and what we want to share through our music,” the bouncy, alt-indie cut succeeds in its charm offensive as bright, buoyant keys and a driving rhythm immediately engage before frontperson Zan Curleigh turns over a rousing verse and hook.

Then Australia, for its dance-forward, funk-leaning rhythms. And somewhere along the way, France as a nod to their appreciation for Daft Punk’s electronic edge. Still, they avoid pinning themselves down.
