BRITs 2025 Rising Star Myles Smith is an immensely talented singer-songwriter who has dominated the charts with his emotional pop hits and candid storytelling, surpassing an incredible one billion global streams in his career to date!
Myles cut his teeth with open mic nights and support slots before he released any of his own music and spent time in between classes in the studio honing his craft. In early 2022, his cover of The Neighbourhood’s ‘Sweater Weather’ went viral on TikTok, leading to an official release of the track which has now amassed over 38 million streams on Spotify alone. In 2023, he began to release original music, including hits ‘My Home’, ‘Solo’, and ‘Behind’, which have accumulated an impressive 500 million global streams to date!
The start of 2024 saw Myles embark on a sold-out tour across UK, Europe and the US, performing his debut EP ‘You Promised A Lifetime’. 2024 importantly saw the release of international hit ‘Stargazing’ which reached the UK Top 10, peaking at number 4, and was certified 2x Platinum. It’s also garnered over 600 million streams, becoming the biggest single of 2024 by a British artist! His second EP ‘A Minute..’ featuring the track followed in November, marking 2024 as career-defining for Myles.
Myles then kicked off 2025 releasing his second Top 10 hit 'Nice To Meet You’ which has garnered over 193 million global streams. March 2025 then saw Myles nominated for an incredible 4 BRIT Awards including for Song of the Year for ‘Stargazing’, Best New Artist and Pop Act, before ultimately winning the BRITs 2025 Rising Star Award. The night also saw Myles take to the stage for his debut BRITs performance!
This year Myles embarked on his ‘We Were Never Strangers’ tour across the UK and US, featuring an electric sold-out Hammersmith Apollo show. His coverage across press has been equally as impressive including a glowing 2-page feature in The Evening Standard, the cover spot for Music Week Magazine and being named in Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2025!
Since wrapping his own tour, Myles released EP ‘A Minute, A Moment…’ featuring standout track ‘Gold’ before gracing Radio 1’s Big Weekend! Following his packed out sets at Glastonbury Festival and TRNSM, Myles now continues to support close friend and industry heavyweight Ed Sheeran on his European 2025 tour!
Myles also continues to earn accolades, having recently won a prestigious Ivor Novello Award for Most Performed Work. Following his summer performances, attention will then turn to Myles’ upcoming single releases due later this year, all before he releases his highly anticipated debut album in early 2026!
