Till Brönner is widely regarded as a leading figure of contemporary German jazz and one of its most visible ambassadors internationally. As a trumpeter, vocalist, and producer, he has consistently bridged the gap between traditional jazz and a broader mainstream audience—without compromising the genre’s musical integrity. His work is defined by a refined sense of tone, stylistic openness, and a clear artistic identity.
Brönner’s debut album Generations of Jazz (1993) marked the beginning of a career that quickly gained international traction, with Chattin’ with Chet (1996) establishing him on a global stage. Over the years, he has collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Dieter Ilg, Nils Landgren, Dave Brubeck, Hildegard Knef, and Gregory Porter, reflecting both his versatility and international reach.
His achievements include multiple Echo Jazz awards, a nomination for the Grammy Awards in 2009 (Best Instrumental Jazz Solo), alongside numerous gold and platinum certifications.
Alongside his musical career, Brönner is also an established photographer. He describes himself succinctly as an “international trumpet artist, photographer, speaker” based between Berlin and Los Angeles—an apt reflection of a career that combines artistic range with sustained international recognition.
