Artist and entrepreneur JEFE was born to do music. Native to Edgewood, Atlanta, GA known as zone 6; JEFE developed his musical palette working on his craft and learning from his older family members and friends. Whether standing in the booth or on the block, JEFE developed his skills and unique style at an early age helping him stand out amongst his elders. It was then that JEFE realized he had something special and decided to take his musical journey seriously. JEFE recounts watching shows like, Rap City: Da- Basement and listening to Dip Set, Busta Rhymes, UGK and Biggie. He explains that, “Watching their careers grow and their music impact the masses inspired me to share my journey and truth in a way that came natural to me.” - JEFE hopes to inspire others with his music in the same way he was inspired. JEFE introduces a sound that is fresh, distinct and mesmerizing. He is known for mixing relatable songwriting with new school flows, splashed with insane melodies however rooted in southern tones and cadences. JEFE grew up in the same city as his child neighborhood friend named Trouble; whom would later on in life as an adult artist pick JEFE up from his home and drive him to the Ear Drummers Studios in ATL, GA to meet Mike WiLL Made- It which in turn later opened the doors for JEFE to work with Ear Drummers as a writer for two years before officially releasing his own personal music as an official Ear Drummers artist in 2023 releasing the single, “Moreland” in 2024. The most enjoyable part of being an artist for JEFE is the recording process. He indulges in the freedom of expression, telling stories from different perspectives and bringing people together with music. JEFE believes music is a spiritual process and a gift as he is constantly striving to do better than yesterday. The way JEFE moves on and off the stage keeps him centered with direction and purpose; which resulted in how he got his name JEFE, which means Boss in Spanish. JEFE lives by a few mottos that keep him at the forefront: “Live your truth. Don’t judge a book by its cover. Be your own cool; cool is what you make it, so be fly about it.” - JEFE
