Participating in the casting show Rising Star, where LEONY and her former band Unknown Passenger emerged as the winners, was the starting point for a dream career. The singer-songwriter from Chammünster, Bavaria, has claimed the throne as Germany’s pop queen at just 27 years old and has become one of the country's most successful solo artists. Her debut album, Somewhere In Between (2023), marked a major milestone—followed by her first completely sold-out headliner tour and massive hits (Remedy, Faded Love) that kept her at the top of the German Airplay Charts for weeks, while also conquering other European markets.
Soon, she began racking up prestigious music awards (New Music Award, Radio Galaxy & Radio Regenbogen Award, Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award, etc.), nominations (BAMBI, MTV EMAs, 1Live Krone, etc.), a stint as a judge on Deutschland sucht den Superstar (DSDS), and more than 30 gold and platinum records to date. LEONY not only writes for herself but also for other renowned artists. With her own hits and national as well as international collaborations (including Alan Walker, Felix Jaehn, Steve Aoki, Sam Feldt, Vize, Niklas Dee, and Kontra K.), she has amassed over 1.5 billion streams worldwide.
Her collaboration with U.S. rapper G-Eazy (Rock’n’Roll) and, most notably, the UEFA FIFA 2024 anthem Fire with OneRepublic and Meduza have propelled the young artist into entirely new dimensions. On February 28, 2025, Leony will release her second album, Oldschool Love. The 15 new tracks showcase a more mature, profound sound that aligns even more with the message Leony wants to share through her music. Created alongside her creative team—Vitali Zestovskih (Vize) and producer Mark Becker—this album conveys a unique sense of life.
