Bio

Saticöy started in 2018 when Derek Long and Jaron Takach quit their entry-level music industry positions to write music out of their North Hollywood apartment. Having played together since 2016, they and bassist Jon Averbook had great chemistry from the band’s inception. Picking up keyboardist/saxophonist Tim Greer would light the fire that launched the band into a full-time gig. That same year, Saticoy released their first song, Faded from Color, which would go on to amass over a million streams on Spotify. This year, the band is rolling out their first full length LP, Origami. With a sound more focused in the realm of alternative rock, tinged with punk and pop, the LP promises to be their highest quality, best written, and most explosive work to date.
