Mizz—a lifelong abbreviated nickname for Miles—first found success on TikTok, followed by Instagram and YouTube Shorts. Part of the appeal was that Mizz admits he says what others won't—whether confronting a friend about their breath or clowning himself about loving food. When Mizz was introduced to Sturdy through a mutual friend in 2022, the two entertainment hopefuls hit it off instantly. Plans to collaborate quickly expanded into daily hangouts and a partnership that has grown into a brotherhood. The two leaned on their creativity, recording tracks to BandLab—an at-home program integral to their growth—instead of expensive studios. "Freestyle Pt. 2" and "Chunky" proved to be early calling cards, drawing audiences in 2023. Mizz brings his unique energy to the stage, performing at Philly's PowerHouse or opening for Rod Wave on a string of East Coast dates. By 2024, things started to explode. "BUMBAA" became a monster for Mizz, with Sturdy featured on the video single with over 15 million streams. That chemistry has carried over in an On The Radar Freestyle and set things off in 2025 with Mizz on Sturdy's "TRIPPIN."
